Lyca Mobile offers multiple different unlimited data SIM Only plans at the time of writing, including a 12-month option and a 1-month rolling plan. These both include unlimited minutes and texts, plus 100 international minutes that can be used to call 40 countries, such as the US, China, Australia, Canada, France, India, and many others.
There are also no contract options, specifically a ‘UK Plan Unlimited’ and a ‘UK Plan Unlimited Plus’. The former gives you unlimited data along with unlimited minutes, unlimited texts, 5G support, free roaming included, and 100 international minutes.
The UK Plan Unlimited Plus also comes with unlimited data, unlimited minutes, unlimited texts, 5G, and inclusive roaming. But the ‘Plus’ bit is because rather than 100 international minutes, you get unlimited international minutes, to a similarly large selection of locations.
Both plans are just 30 days long, so you can change your allowances or cancel the plan whenever you want – or just keep them rolling if you’re happy with the allowances.
As some are just 30 days long, Lyca Mobile’s unlimited data plans are super convenient and flexible, because if your data needs change – or you simply find a better deal elsewhere – you’re free to change or cancel your plan at any time.
But the biggest reason to choose Lyca Mobile is the inclusion of international minutes, no matter which unlimited data plan you choose. So it’s a great option if you want to be able to call abroad frequently, and if you’re really calling internationally a lot there’s the option to get unlimited international minutes.
Free roaming on top of that is a nice perk too, as while a number of networks offer this it’s far from a standard feature.
Plus, you get EE’s coverage in the UK with Lyca Mobile, so wherever EE has a 5G or 4G signal, Lyca Mobile will too.
Lyca Mobile notes that “using a significantly large amount of data, such as around 450GB” is prohibited under its fair usage terms. But it’s very unlikely that you should ever approach 450GB of data use in a month if you’re using your plan for personal use.
Outside that, Lyca Mobile’s unlimited data plans are unlimited in the UK, but note that there's a variable roaming cap depending on which unlimited data plan you choose.
You can tether on Lyca Mobile and if you have an unlimited data plan then the only limitation is its general fair use terms – the main thing being that you should keep your usage under 450GB per month.
Aside from that, you’re free to use as much data as you like on tethered laptops, tablets, and other gadgets.
Lyca Mobile’s unlimited data plans include free roaming in the EU, but there is a fair usage cap when doing this.
The cap depends on your plan, and at the time of writing is a maximum of 35GB per month. This may change though, so we’d recommend checking the terms and conditions for the plan you’re considering on Lyca Mobile’s own site.
Lyca Mobile doesn’t offer any Pay As You Go bundles, but the network’s unlimited data SIM Only plans should be suitable for most users, since you’re not tied into a lengthy contract.
Alternatively, you can Pay As You Go at rates of 23p per minute to mobiles, 15p per minute to landlines, 23p per text, and 15p per megabyte. Though calls and texts to other Lyca Mobile phones are free.
There are plenty of networks that offer unlimited data plans aside from Lyca Mobile. These include Three, EE, O2, Vodafone, Asda Mobile, Giffgaff, Lebara, iD Mobile, Smarty, Tesco Mobile, Talkmobile, and VOXI.
