With iD Mobile you can get an unlimited data SIM Only plan on one of three different durations, namely 1 month, 12 months, or 24 months.
Each of these plans also come with unlimited minutes and texts, so the difference is primarily the duration and the price. Pick a longer contract and you’ll generally pay less per month, but pick a shorter one and you’ll also be free to change your plan sooner.
iD Mobile’s unlimited data SIM Only plans also all come with 5G included, plus inclusive roaming across the EU and beyond.
As noted above, iD Mobile offers a selection of different plan durations, so there should be something to suit. As it’s powered by Three, it also offers the UK’s fastest 5G according to Speedtest data from 2023.
And all iD Mobile’s plans come with Bill Capping, so you can set a capped limit on your monthly spend, as well as there being numerous ways to access customer service – including a dedicated iD Mobile app.
You’re not limited to SIM Only plans either, because iD Mobile also offers unlimited data phone plans. And iD Mobile also offers customers up to three months of free access to Apple Music, Apple TV+, and Apple Arcade at the time of writing.
Yes, unlimited data really is unlimited on iD Mobile when you’re in the UK, so you can use as much data as you want on one of these plans, with no fair usage restrictions or speed limits.
However, when roaming abroad there’s a fair usage limit of 30GB. You can go over this, but a surcharge of £3 will be applied for each additional gigabyte.
Yes, iD Mobile allows tethering and there are no caps on your use of tethering, even with unlimited data. That means you can use your phone to get other devices – such as laptops and tablets – connected to the internet when there’s no Wi-Fi available.
iD Mobile stands out as one of a dwindling number of networks to allow free roaming. The network lets you roam at no extra cost in 50 destinations, but there’s a fair usage limit of 30GB of data per month. You can use more than this, but you’ll be charged £3 for each gigabyte above 30GB.
Yes, iD Mobile also offers Pay As You Go plans, and you can get an unlimited data Pay As You Go deal. This also includes unlimited minutes and texts, and as it’s Pay As You Go there’s no contract or credit check.
There are loads of networks that you can get unlimited data plans on other than iD Mobile. These include Three, EE, O2, Vodafone, Asda Mobile, Giffgaff, Lebara, Lyca Mobile, Smarty, Tesco Mobile, Talkmobile, and VOXI.
