prices may change during contractSwitching to a Three SIM only deal saves you money and if you’re moving from Pay Monthly it offers a shorter contract length, with 12 or 1 month plans available, as well as 24-month ones. You also get benefits you won’t get on other networks including access to Three+ and an optional Paramount Plus subscription.
Three is a major UK network, so you can be confident that it’s reliable. But that’s even more true for Three than others, as it’s regularly rated the most reliable UK network by independent companies.
It’s also cheap for a big-name brand, and that’s especially true if you opt for a SIM-only contract, as these are a lot less expensive than getting a smartphone included.
If you’re fan of data Three is also well-worth considering as it offers tariffs with unlimited data, so you’ll never run out. Its rapidly expanding 5G and 4G network carries much of the nation’s mobile data – so it’s adept at handling it.
As well as unlimited data, there’s also a range of smaller allowances at lower prices, as well as plans with optional extras, making it easy to find the perfect fit.
All of Three's SIM Only plans come with Three+, which gives you access to a rotating assortment of freebies, discounts, and competitions, from a wide variety of brands.
Three lets Value and Complete plan customers roam for free in 71 destinations for up to 56 days, and many of these locations are outside Europe, such as the US and Australia.
Value and Complete plan customers also get a subscription to Paramount Plus included. This is supplied for either the full contract duration if you're on a Complete plan, or half the duration on a Value plan.
Another extra included on all plans is 4G Super-Voice (VoLTE), which lets you call over 4G, and helps plug signal blackspots for superior coverage.
WiFi calling is also supported on Three so you can stay in touch in bad signal areas. It’s supported app-free on most recent iPhones and Android phones.
Value plans include free roaming for up to 28 days while Complete plans get roaming for free for up to 56 days. In both cases, this covers 71 destinations, including the US, Australia, New Zealand and many more. If you're on a Lite plan, you can instead roam for £2 per day in Europe or £5 per day outside Europe.
Yes, all currently available SIM Only plans come with tethering included at no extra cost, and you can use as much of your data as you want, even if you have unlimited data.
All you need to do is sign up to Three, then request your PAC code from the network you’re leaving (which can be done simply by texting 'PAC' to 65075 from the number you want to keep), and then fill in Three’s transfer form. Transfers will be made the next working day if requested before 5pm Monday-Friday.
You don’t need to worry about SIM size as Three will send you a Trio SIM, which comes with all SIM types. All you need to do is pop out the size you require, be it Standard, Micro or Nano.
Yes, Three will undertake a credit check, however it’s nowhere near as strict as when purchasing a contract phone. Therefore, it can be good for those who have previously been refused a phone contract and those with poor credit.
