Talkmobile is owned and operated by Vodafone, so it offers all the same 4G and 5G coverage, meaning that you’ll be able to get a mobile signal almost anywhere in the UK, and in many cases it will be a speedy 5G one.
However, Talkmobile is typically cheaper than Vodafone – or any of the other big networks – so it’s a great option for anyone looking to save some money without compromising on coverage.
All of Talkmobile’s plans come with unlimited minutes and texts, so you can chat away without worrying about exceeding your allowances – that’s a great perk for such an affordable network. There's also an unlimited data plan for heavy data users.
Talkmobile also offers spending caps, so you’ll never spend more than you’ve allowed for. You'll also be able to make use of both Wi-Fi Calling and 4G Calling, so you can keep in touch in more places. But beyond that, Talkmobile focuses on keeping things as affordable and simple as possible rather than offering superfluous extras. But with plans of both 12-month and 30-day durations you have plenty of flexibility.
Roaming abroad is included to 42 European destinations, up to a fair use limit of 5GB of data. You can find out more here.
You can tether on all Talkmobile SIM-only plans, so you can use your smartphone to get other gadgets online.
Simply give your PAC (Porting Authorisation Code) from your old network to Talkmobile and they’ll do the rest. To get your PAC, text PAC to 65075 from the number you want to keep, or just give your old network a call and ask for it.
Talkmobile will supply a SIM card that contains all three possible sizes (standard, micro and nano), so when it arrives just compare it to your phone’s SIM card slot and pop out the size that you need.
