Spusu uses EE’s infrastructure, so it has coverage in the same places, and can deliver similar speeds. That’s great news, because EE’s coverage and speeds are both among the best in the UK.
One perk EE can’t match though is the 500 international minutes that Spusu includes on all of its SIM Only plans, making this a great network for calling abroad.
Spusu’s SIM Only plans are all just 30-day rolling plans too, so you’re not committing to a long contract. But despite that, Spusu also promises that there won’t be any price hikes until at least 2026, so if you buy a plan now, you’ll be paying the same monthly price until at least then.
There are no credit checks to pass either, and if you like the sound of Spusu, you can see its SIM Only deals above.
The main extra with Spusu’s SIM Only plans is 500 international minutes. This comes with all plans, and these minutes can be used to call EU countries.
Spusu’s SIM Only plans also all include 5G, Wi-Fi Calling, 4G Calling, tethering, and spending caps. You can also get a plan with unlimited data, and there’s the option of using an eSIM.
That’s quite a lot of perks, many of which aren’t available on all rival networks.
Spusu lets all of its SIM Only customers roam at no extra cost across the EU. That’s not unusual, but isn’t something that all networks allow.
Spusu does have a variable fair usage limit when roaming though, which ranges from 10GB to 25GB per month at the time of writing, depending on which plan you’re on. But almost all networks have a fair usage limit for roaming.
Spusu supports tethering, so you can use any or all of your data to get other devices – such as laptops and tablets – online. If you have unlimited data then there’s no limit to the amount you can use for this, though Spusu notes that its SIM cards “should not be used as long-term alternative to home broadband.”
Keeping your number when switching to Spusu is easy. The first step is to request a PAC (Porting Authorisation Code) from your old network, which you can do by texting ‘PAC’ to 65075 from the number you want to keep, or head to our how to get a PAC code from any network in 60 seconds guide for other methods.
Once you’ve received a PAC code, you’ll find a place where you can enter it while ordering your Spusu SIM card. However, if you don’t do this then you can still port your number by contacting Spusu after placing your order.
In either case, you can select the date on which you’d like the transfer to be carried out, though the earliest time will typically be a couple of days after providing Spusu with your PAC code.
Spusu SIM cards contain all three possible SIM card sizes (nano, micro, and standard). So you just pop out the size that’s right for your phone.
Or if you’d rather have an eSIM you can select this while placing your order.
