Sky Mobile offers the same coverage as O2, meaning its 4G reaches almost everywhere in the UK, and its 5G covers numerous towns and cities, and is improving all the time.
Sky Mobile also has reasonable prices and by going SIM-only you can save even more money, as you won’t be paying for a smartphone. With plans that are just 12-months long, you won’t be tied in for too long either.
With Sky Mobile you can make use of data rollover, allowing you to store any unused data for up to a year, and use it on subsequent months where you need more. If you have multiple SIMs on your account then you can even share this data between them.
You can also use Sky apps (such as Sky Go, Sky Sports and Sky News) without it coming out of your data allowance – though note that some of these require a separate subscription.
Plus, with Sky Mobile you can change your data plan whenever you like. So if you find you want a higher or lower data allowance, you can always switch.
Sky Mobile also supports both Wi-Fi Calling and 4G Calling, giving you more ways to stay in touch.
Sky Mobile’s SIM-only plans let you roam in over 55 destinations at a cost of £2 per day. These cover the EU, the US, Australia, and more. So you can keep on browsing when abroad without paying vast sums.
Sky Mobile allows all SIM-only customers to tether, meaning they can get laptops, tablets and other gadgets online using their phone’s signal. The only limitation is your overall data allowance.
To keep your number when switching, just text PAC to 65075 from the number you want to keep – you can do this either before or after you’ve signed up for a Sky Mobile SIM-only plan, just make sure you do it before you close your old phone account.
Then, once you’ve got both your PAC (Porting Authorisation Code) and a temporary number from Sky Mobile, you can fill out the network’s number transfer form.
If you do this before 6pm on a weekday then your number will be transferred on the next working day, while if it’s after 6pm or on a weekend then the transfer will take up to two working days.
Sky Mobile will send a SIM card that fits all possible phones, you just have to select the size that’s right for yours when it arrives.
