prices may change during contractO2 has extensive 4G coverage, currently hitting around 99% of the UK population, and it also has over 50% population coverage with 5G. So you can get speedy data in most places on O2.
By choosing a SIM-only plan you’re also saving money and giving yourself more flexibility than you’d find on a handset contract, as contracts can be as short as one month, though you can choose a longer 12-month or 24-month plan if you prefer.
O2 offers a wide and ever changing range of deals, freebies and offers through its Priority service, which is exclusive to customers.
If you’re a music fan you can also often get gig tickets early through O2, and many plans additionally come with a six-month free subscription to Apple Music and another service of your choice.
O2 also offers both Wi-Fi Calling and 4G Calling, the latter letting you call and text over Wi-Fi and the former over 4G. Plus, you can roam abroad at no extra cost.
O2’s SIM Only plans all let you roam across the EU at no extra cost and some also let you use your allowances in 27 additional locations, including the US and Australia.
O2 allows you to use your data for tethering on all SIM-only contracts. There are no charges and no caps – other than your standard data allowance.
Simply sign up for an O2 contract, then request your PAC code from your old network. The easiest way to do that is simply to text 'PAC' to 65075 from the number you want to keep. Once you have both that and your new, temporary O2 number, you just need to give these details to O2. The actual transfer should happen the next working day if this is done before 6pm on a working day.
O2’s SIM cards fit in any size SIM slot, you just need to pop out the size that’s right for you.
