Huawei is the third biggest smartphone maker in the world, and has ambitions to overtake Apple and Samsung to become number one.
The company makes Android phones at a range of prices and while it’s enormous in its home company of China it’s also gradually becoming a much more known name in the UK, thanks to the launch of strong smartphones backed up by major marketing campaigns in recent years.
The best thing about Huawei’s phones is how good value for money they tend to be, as the company tends to release high-end handsets for significantly less than the competition, and you’ll find similar savings at the mid-range and low-end.
But Huawei makes increasingly good phones too, with stylish designs, plenty of power and in some cases even innovative features – such as the dual-lens camera found on the Huawei P9.
Its Emotion UI, which the company overlays on top of Android, is also simple to navigate, making it a strong choice for those new to smartphones.
Huawei also makes phones for everyone – with handsets sporting not just different prices and feature sets, but different screen sizes too, including large phablets.
Huawei makes a huge number of handsets, though not all of them are readily available in the UK. Recent highlights that you can buy include the affordable flagship Huawei P9 and the monstrously large and powerful Huawei Mate 9, which has a 5.9-inch screen.
