Apple iPhone 5S and 5C owners who purchased their phone from O2 will be relieved to hear that they can now get 4G connectivity. Since O2 launched its 4G in London, Leeds, Bradford, Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester, Sheffield and Nottingham owners of the iPhone 5S and 5C have had to make do with 3G connectivity.
O2 have officially confirmed that iPhone 5S and 5C owners can now update the network settings on their phone by using iTunes or updating “Over the Air”. We covered the lack of 4G connectivity for 5S and 5C owners last month here O2’s 4G Network Put Through Its Paces in London.

Using iTunesPut your sim into iPhone. Connect iPhone to your Mac or PC using the USB cable provided. iTunes will open automatically. Make sure you're connected to the internet. A window will automatically pop up, asking to install carrier update settings. Click 'Update settings'. You'll get on-screen confirmation that your settings have been updated successfully. Then you're ready to go.
Over wifi Put your sim into iPhone. Turn on iPhone and follow the onscreen instructions to activate and set it up. After you've activated your iPhone, tap Settings > General > About. You'll automatically be asked to update your carrier settings. Tap 'Update'. Then you're ready to go.
