EE has just launched a new range of pay as you go packs which makes getting 4G cheaper than ever as they start from just £1 for seven days. For that money you can choose between 100MB of 4G data along with 10 minutes talk time and 10 texts or if you don’t need data you can get 25 minutes of talk time, 50 texts and 10MB.
None of which is going to go far but then it is just £1 for seven days. If you need more minutes and texts than that you can get 250 minutes and unlimited texts valid for 30 days for £10 or 750 minutes and unlimited texts valid for 30 days for £15, both of which also include 10MB of data so you’re not totally cut off when away from a Wi-Fi connection.
Or if you want more data or just want more of everything there are three other 30 day packs available. The cheapest gives you 150 minutes, 500MB of 4G data and unlimited texts for £10, or there’s 500 minutes, 2GB of 4G data and unlimited texts for £15, or 1000 minutes, 4GB of 4G data and unlimited texts for £25, with those last two packs also including double speed 4G.
So not only do the prices start low but you can pick whether you’re more interested in data or texts and minutes or just want a bit of everything and while some of the allowances might sound quite limiting at the lower end EE has found that 70% of pay as you go customers don’t spend more than £10 per month anyway.
You also don’t need to worry about exceeding your data limit as once you use it up you’ll simply be cut off but with the ability to buy a data add-on if you want, so you can keep control of how much you spend.
The new packs also reward loyalty, as after buying a pack each week or month for three months you can get extra data, minutes or texts for free. For example when buying a new 30 day pack you’d be able to choose between an extra 250MB of data, 50 minutes or 250 texts at no extra cost.
