Dumfries and Galloway latest to get 4G upgrade on EE Network
EE have been granted planning permission to upgrade its network in four locations across Dumfries and Galloway.
The four areas which will enjoy faster 4G speeds and improved coverage are Moniaive, Sorbie, Beeswing and Palnackie.
Local MP MP Richard Arkless commented “EE have been working hard to upgrade 4G coverage throughout the region for some time and I am delighted to hear from them that they now have the planning permission they need.”
Work is due to commence shortly and EE customers in the Scottish region could experience network disruption while the work is ongoing.
EE have the widest coverage of all the UK’s 4G operators and continue to try and eliminate ‘not-spots’ and ‘partial non-spots’ as part of the Governments drive to improve mobile network performance in rural areas.
