The Three 5G Outdoor Hub is a new 5G home broadband solution from Three, but unlike the Three 5G Hub which is set up inside your home, this is set up outside.

That might sound less convenient, but it means that there are no walls, windows, or other objects separating 5G signals from the Hub, which in turn means that the Three 5G Outdoor Hub is able to connect to 5G signals that the indoor Three 5G Hub – and other 5G home broadband devices – might not be able to.

So if you have little to no 5G signal in your home, it could still be worth giving the Three 5G Outdoor Hub a try if you’re in the market for 5G home broadband.

The Three 5G Outdoor Hub is simple to set up as well, with no need for an engineer to install it for you, and it comes with everything you need to attach it to a wall, a window, or a drainpipe or pole. There’s also the option to install it indoors, though this is less effective from a signal perspective.

As well as the Three 5G Outdoor Hub itself, when you purchase this device on a Three contract you’ll also receive an Eero 6 Wi-Fi router. This you’d plug in indoors, and connect to the Three 5G Outdoor Hub with a cable, so that the latter can send 5G signals to the former, and those signals can then be converted into a Wi-Fi network in your home.

The Eero 6 Wi-Fi router has two Ethernet ports, so you can make use of wired connections as well as wireless ones, and Three says to expect average download speeds of 150Mbps (though exact speeds will depend on your area).
